West Kutai, 15 February 2023 — Regional Office for Language in East Kalimantan Province on day one, 14 February 2023, visited the Agency of Education and Culture of West Kutai Regency to coordinate the Regional Language Preservation with Partners program in line Revitalization of Regional Language of Kutai. The team was welcomed by the Head of the Student and Character Development Section, Mimi Astuti accompanied by Yulius Alexander, Staff for Personnel Development. At that moment, the team informed the plans for the Revitalization of Regional Language year 2023 that should be disseminated to schools where inhabited by the Kutai tribe. Furthermore, on 15 February, the team was also a guest at the point of revitalization location last year at Melak District. There, Mauliddin Said, Head of Melak District, and Dewi Hairiah the Supervisor of Kindergarten/Elementary School accepted the team. It yielded that West Kutai (esp Kutai language) participants in 2023 will participate in the revitalization events, such as meetings, training, competitions at the village/regency level, and festival at the provincial level, as well as the national level.
