Tenggarong, September 1, 2026 – Regional Language Center in East Kalimantan has officially submitted the Evaluation Report on the Prioritization of the State Language to the principals of 15 educational institutions in the cultivation program within Kutai Kartanegara (Kukar) Regency on August 26 to 28, 2026. The report serves as a follow-up to the long-term institutional cultivation programs for the 2025–2029 period and reflects the analysis of assistance previously provided by the Regional Language Center’s Team regarding the management of official correspondence.
The 15 educational institutions evaluated in Kutai Kartanegara include SMA Negeri 1 Tenggarong, SMA Negeri 2 Tenggarong, SMA Negeri 3 Tenggarong, SMK Negeri 1 Tenggarong, SMK Negeri 2 Tenggarong, MAN 2 Tenggarong, SMP Negeri 1 Tenggarong, SMP Negeri 2 Tenggarong, SMP Negeri 3 Tenggarong, MTsN 1 Tenggarong, SMP IT Nurul Ilmi, SDN 002 Tenggarong, SDN 003 Tenggarong, SDN 018 Tenggarong, and SD Asyauqi Tenggarong. The field assessment and verification process was conducted directly by the evaluation team under Regional Language Center in East Kalimantan, comprising Rahmad Hidayat, Abd. Rahman, Ali Kusno, and Elisabeth Pasoloran.
Based on the analysis of the evaluation data, most of those schools in Kutai Kartanegara have demonstrated significant progress in managing official correspondence in accordance with the EYD V System, employing accurate diction, and constructing effective sentences. In a concrete response to these results, several schools have committed to conduct independent internal training on the preparation of official documents for their teaching and administrative staff. Regarding the use of language in the schools’ public spaces, institutions that have not yet fully updated their physical signage are receiving guidance on repairing it gradually in accordance with the available budget or by utilizing simple cost-effective alternatives media.
To ensure the optimal implementation of these improvements and training plans, technical liaisons from Regional Language Center in East Kalimantan continue to provide consultation and follow-up assistance to the schools under their guidance. Through this synergistic effort, the 15 educational institutions in Kutai Kartanegara are expected to become role models in prioritizing the state language, both in formal correspondence and in the linguistic landscape of their public spaces.
