Monitoring Team of Revitalization of Regional Language (furthermore stated as RBD) for Paser language monitored the implementation of RBD in Batu Sopang District and Muara Komam District, Paser Regency on 24 September 2022. It aimed to observe the progress of Paser language RBD implementation and look closer at the preparation of Festival Tunas Bahasa Ibu (FTBI/Festival of Mother Language for Younger) in those two subdistricts. Some of the field notes were obtained as follows.
1. Muara Komam District held the FTBI for District Selection level on Saturday, 24 September 2022 at SD 001 Muara Komam. Seventeen elementary schools and 4 junior high schools were involved in the festival. Each elementary school attended two students and junior high school had four to six students as participants. The FTBI was officially opened by the District Head of Muara Komam, Mustafa S.Sos. It contested poetry (betikou) and fairy tales (sempuri) for elementary school students. In addition, poetry (betikou) and speeches in Paser language for junior high school students.
2. Batu Sopang District carried out the FTBI for the District Selection level on 13 September 2022. The team monitored the festival at SD 013 Batu Sopang. At the moment, other schools that won the FTBI in Batu Sopang District also participated, namely SD 013, SD 001, SD 012, and SD Luqman Hakim.
