Kotabangun, 3 February 2023 — Regional Office for Language in East Kalimantan Province Team coordinated the Regional Language Preservation activities with Partners in Kotabangun for Regional Language Revitalization (Kutai Malay) in 2023. It took place at the technical management unit (UPT) of the Education and Culture Agency in Kotabangun District. Head of the UPT Abdul Karim welcomed the team. It was mutually agreed to support and succeed the Regional Language Revitalization activities in 2023. In addition, the team requested some information regarding data of students, teachers, principals, and supervisors, as well as prospective teachers/trainers from Kotabangun. Furthermore, the team visited the Kotabangun District Office and was directly received by the Head of Kotabangun District, Mawardi. The team discussed the 2023 Regional Language Revitalization plan and requested support from the local regional government. Also, the team took data on the Kutai Malay distribution in Kotabangun and its surroundings. (nm)
