Samarinda, 21 March 2023 — Tuesday, 21 March 2023, Regional Office for Language in East Kalimantan Province attended MAN 1 Samarinda Plus Skills and Research invitation. The school invited Regional Office for Language to train the correct and appropriate Indonesian use in school institutional documents. It took place at Az-Zahra Room, hall of MAN 1 Samarinda Plus Skills and Research. It was held as a follow-up meeting of the Prioritization of the State Language year 2022-2024 which took place on 16 March 2023 at the Amaris Hotel, Samarinda.

The event was attended by leaders, teachers, and administrative staff of MAN 1 Samarinda. “We are very happy and proud that MAN 1 Samarinda Plus Skills and Research has been selected as one of the cultivated institutions in prioritizing state language ​​for 2022-2024 in Samarinda City. We have made various efforts to improve the Indonesian language use in public spaces and official documents. Today, (it) is our effort to improve the language used in institutional documents at MAN 1 Samarinda Plus Skills and Research. We hope our staff competence in the Indonesian language in preparing institutional documents, such as official letters, can be improved,” Drs. Ruslan, M.Pd. said, in his remarks representing the Principal.  MAN 1 Samarinda Plus Skills and Research is the first institution that has the initiative to follow up with the audience regarding the Prioritization of the State Language year 2022-2024 program in Samarinda City.

Members of KKLP of Cultivation and Legal Language from the Regional Office for Language in East Kalimantan Province delivered the subjects. They were Ali Kusno, Abd. Rahman, and Pandu Pratama Putra. They conveyed Public Space Analysis at MAN 1 Samarinda Plus Skills and Research and the suggestions. Besides, they presented the use of correct and appropriate Indonesian in institutional documents.

This initiative was the best practice to improve the use of the Indonesian language in public spaces and institutional documents as well as an example for other agencies to improve the use of the State Language. (ak)
