Samarinda, 3 March 2023 — Regional Office for Language in East Kalimantan Province on 3 March 2023 attended a hearing invitation from East Kalimantan Legislative Council (DPRD) to adjust the perception of the substance of the regional regulation draft at Building E meeting room, Floor 1, DPRD of East Kalimantan Province. Head of Regional Office for Language in East Kalimantan Province (KBPKT) Halimi Hadibrata accompanied by members of the expert group and professional services (KKLP) of cultivation and legal language as well as UKBI, Ali Kusno, Abd. Rahman, Pandu Pratama Putra, and Nur Bety.
Veridiana Huraq Wang the Chairman of the Special Committee (pansus) on the Prioritization of State Language and the Preservation of Regional Language and Literature, Hj. Fitri Maisyaroh Deputy Head of the Special Committee, and Hj. A. Komariah members of the Special Committee led the hearing. They were assisted by expert team Farah Silvia and Muhammad Iqbal Suwandy as well as administrative staff Diyah Ayu Dewanthi, Muhammad Aryamer Nagari, and Muhammad Ilyas Saudek.
During the meeting, pansus gathered some urgent and substantial pieces of information regarding the regional regulation draft as well as several additional points. After the meeting, Veridiana requested the Regional Office for Language to assist the special committee to visit the office of the Agency for Language Development and Cultivation, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, and Directorate General of Regional Autonomy of the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia on 8 to 11 March 2023 in Jakarta. The visitation aimed to consult the content substance of the regional regulation draft. (ak)
