Tarakan, 12 May 2023 — On 11 to 12 May 2023, the Regional Office for Language in East Kalimantan via KKLP of Translation held a translation products activity a Bilingual Children’s Story (Tidung-Indonesia) at the Royal Tarakan Hotel. This activity aimed to obtain children’s reading materials with the theme of promoting local culture with substances of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) based. The form activities were carried out in the form of technical assistance to produce ready-to-print products of bilingual children’s story scripts. The participants involved in the activity were 36 people consisting of students, teachers, lecturers, and the community. In this activity, the speakers provided material in the form of an introduction to STEAM children’s stories, tips on writing children’s stories, and tips on writing regional language stories. On the second day, participants carried out the practice of editing and harmonizing stories under the supervision of the speakers. The activity went smoothly. At the end of the activity, the scripts were collected, assessed, and selected as published scripts by Regional Office for Language in East Kalimantan. (ems)
