Bontang, 26 September 2023 — The Regional Office for Language in East Kalimantan Province (KBKT) held the program to improve the Indonesian language proficiency of Indonesian language teachers of junior high school (SMP) and Islamic junior high school (MTs) on 25 to 26 September 2023 at Tiara Surya Hotel, Bontang. The Agency of Education and Culture of Bontang City assigned 41 teachers and supervisors as participants.
Several speakers from KBKT, namely Halimi Hadibrata, Nur Bety, and Dwi Haryanto presented the National Policy of Language and Literature and the Fifth Edition of EYD.
Halimi Hadibrata, Head of KBKT said that the subject could be disseminated to their colleagues and students at schools.
The Head of the Agency of Education and Culture of Bontang City, Drs. Bambang Cipto Mulyono, M.Sc. officially opened the program. He mentioned his appreciation for carrying out that program.
Further, participants will receive assistance to regenerate Indonesian language proficiency for the next three months via WhatsApp groups and online meetings. (ems)
