Samarinda, 24 October 2023 — On Tuesday, 24 October 2023, the Regional Office for Language in East Kalimantan Province (a.k.a Language Office) received a visit from the Indonesian Teacher Working Group (MGMP) of SMP/MTs of Bontang City. It discussed the opportunity to cooperate between MGMP and the Language Office. The members of KKLP as representatives of the Language Office attended the meeting, namely Yudianti Herawati, Nur Bety, Ali Kusno, and others.

Jumriah, S, Pd. The chair of the MGMP SMP/MTs of Bontang City expressed her gratitude and hoped this visit could be agreed on some points of cooperation. “Through this visit, we also want to get some inputs to prepare the program for 2024,” said Jumriah.

“We are grateful for this trust and visitation from MGMP SMP/MTs of Bontang City. Hopefully, through today’s discussion, a mutual beneficial cooperation between the two parties will be agreed upon,” said Yudianti in his speech.

The discussion ran well. Several agreements will be outlined in the cooperation document, such as the Test of Indonesian Proficiency (UKBI) and improving Indonesian proficiency for teachers, as well as an introduction to languages ​​in legal impacts, judges, editing, and others.

“We hope this collaboration can be truly realized. If the collaboration runs well, of course, this will be best practice for the MGMP in other districts/cities of  East Kalimantan,” said Ali Kusno, a member of the public relations team. (ak)
