SAMARINDA, June 9, 2026 — The Regional Language Center in East Kalimantan organized a hybrid Essay Writing Workshop on May 22, 2026, empowering students across Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The event was led by Language Ambassadors of East and North Kalimantan. The offline session, held at the SMPN 1 Tenggarong meeting room, drew 200 students from Kutai Kartanegara University, while an additional 400 students participated virtually.
The workshop commenced with an online pretest administered by the Literacy Team of Regional Language Center to gauge the participants’ initial understanding. The core sessions were delivered by the Language Ambassadors, who shared insights on academic writing and essay composition. During the offline event, four ambassadors led specialized modules: Vidia Fatmawati discussed essay structure, Novi Aulia Ramadhani covered Indonesian spelling conventions, Viola Meilinda Putri Prihastiwi guided students on identifying topics and problem formulations, and Abu Dzar Alghifarry focused on crafting effective sentences for academic writing. Meanwhile, the virtual session, broadcast from Samarinda, featured a different roster of speakers, including Sonya Soraya Ghazlina, Muhammad Nurcholis A., Mike Zumrotun Mardhiyah, Muhammad Abby, and Ana Maria. The workshop concluded with a post-test, distributed via an online link, to evaluate the knowledge gained by all participants.
