Tarakan, August 14, 2026 — The Regional Language Center in East Kalimantan carried out a series of coordination, dissemination, and support activities for the Adaptive UKBI (Indonesian Language Proficiency Test) in Tarakan City from August 10 to 12, 2026. The delegation was led by the Head of the Regional Language Center, Asep Juanda, alongside Language and Literature Cultivation Team members Nur Bety and Kamsiah.

The program commenced with a dissemination and support session at SMA Negeri 1 Tarakan. The team was welcomed by the Vice Principal for Public Relations, with the event attended by student representatives from grades X, XI, and XII.

Following this, the team held coordination meetings at the Agency of Education of Tarakan City Office. The meeting was attended by the Head of the Agency of Education, the Secretary, and the Head of the General Affairs Sub-Division. The discussions focused on strengthening synergy to boost the utilization of and participation in the Adaptive UKBI across Tarakan City.

On the final day, the agenda moved to Borneo Tarakan University. The university outreach session was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), the Head of the Language Technical Implementation Unit (UPA), lecturers, and students. Participants were briefed on the benefits, procedures, and implementation of the Adaptive UKBI in higher education. Through this initiative, the Regional Language Center in East Kalimantan aims to expand the use of the Adaptive UKBI and elevate Indonesian language proficiency. (km)
