This year, East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan Language Ambassadors’ Election held again by the East Kalimantan Language Office. Election will begin at the provincial level and continue at the national level. The event is aimed to elect young generation figures who are tasked to socialize, invite, and encourage the public to maintain and prioritize the use of Indonesian.
Participants will be assessed on Indonesian language skills, nationality insights, and ethical aspects during the selection process. The criteria that must be possessed by the candidates, such as master in Indonesian, regional language in East Kalimantan or North Kalimantan, and at least one foreign language. In addition, participants are required to have good personalities and art skill of East Kalimantan or North Kalimantan.
Registration for the Language Ambassadors’ Election of East and North Kalimantan starts from February 2 to March 20, 2020. Participants must fill out the registration form and bring the required documents. The announcement for applicants who pass the administration’s selection will publish at the official web of East Kalimantan Language Office on March 23, 2020. They will take the Indonesian Language Proficiency Test (UKBI) and question and answer section on March 30, 2020. Thus, a talent show and the work program presentation session will carry out on the final night of March 31, 2020.
