This year, East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan Language Ambassadors’ Election is reorganized. The event is aimed to elect young generation figures who are tasked to socialize, invite, and encourage the public to maintain and prioritize the use of Indonesian.
The election has been rescheduled due to the pandemic of Covid-19 that we faced recently. However, at this time, the election is proceed again in accordance with the restoration of social activities in the new adaptation or new normal period.
Furthermore, the election steps are changed via online. It is intended for maintain participants heathy. Also, there are several steps that are usually presented in the Election will be temporarily canceled, merged and modified this year. For example, the Indonesian Language Proficiency Test (UKBI) will be abolished, interviews are combined with presentations, and talent shows are modified from live performances into video record.
The registration ended on July 17, 2020. Participants collected talent shows video before July 20, 2020. Thus, the presentation and interview steps will be divided into two sessions on July 28, 2020 and July 29, 2020. The winner of the East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan 2020 Language Ambassadors Election will announce on July 30, 2020.
Participants who are successfully selected as Language Ambassadors of East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan 2020 will go on National Language Ambassador’s Election 2020 on October 2020. They will be a representative of East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan Province.
