Balikpapan, August 9, 2024 — In Balikpapan on Wednesday and Thursday, August 7 and 8, 2024, the Language Ambassador and the Regional Office for Language in East Kalimantan Province collaborated to hold a Language Ambassador Acts (Krida Duta Bahasa). It took the Parade of Public Space Language for Senior High School and Vocational High School Activist Students as a theme. 150 participants attended the parade at the Meranti Hall of SMA Negeri 2 Balikpapan. It is expected to increase the understanding and positive attitude of the young generation to prioritize the state language, to develop the school activist groups in campaigning to prioritize the state language, and to realize the state language prioritization in the school zone.
Mutanto, the Branch Head of the Agency of Education of East Kalimantan Province Region I, opened the parade. Halimi Hadibrata then addressed the subject of Language Policy.
The keynote speakers for that activity were Nurul Masfufah and Pandu Pratama Putra from the Regional Office for Language in East Kalimantan Province and Language Ambassador, Muhamad Arlin. They conveyed the State Language Prioritization in Public Spaces, Language in Public Spaces, and Presentation Techniques.
In the end, all participants are asked to apply and share the knowledge obtained from the speakers in their respective schools and environments.
