Samarinda, June 27, 2024 — The Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenko PMK) led by Molly Prabawaty Assistant Deputy for Literacy, Innovation, and Creativity visited the Regional Office for Language in East Kalimantan Province (KBPKT). The visit was in the subject of the preparation of literacy, the development, fostering, and preservation of the Indonesian language, regional language, script, and literature policies on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

Halimi Hadibrata revealed his gratitude for the visit of the team of Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia to the Regional Office for Language in East Kalimantan Province. KBPKT is ready to provide the necessary information related to the implementation of improving literacy culture as well as the development, fostering, and preservation of the Indonesian language, regional language, script, and literature in East and North Kalimantan as well as  IKN. As a consequence of the existence of the IKN which requires preparation in terms of regional language and literature preservation in East Kalimantan.

Molly explained her visit for hospitality and discuss on the implementation of literacy culture improvement as well as the development, fostering, and preservation of Indonesian, regional language, script, and literature in East Kalimantan, Kaltara, and IKN.

At that meeting, the team of the KBPKT provided several pieces of information that are needed by the team of Kemenko PMK. Molly notified that Kemenko PMK will have an office in the IKN immediately. Also, hoped that Kemenko PMK and KBPKT will often coordinate and cooperate. Halimi expected for support in literacy development in Kaltim, Kaltara, and IKN. Besides, Halimi conveyed the readiness to establish noticeable cooperation with Kemenko PMK. (ak)
