Samarinda, June 27, 2024 — The team of the Regional Secretariat of the Mahakam Ulu Regency visited the Regional Office for Language in East Kalimantan Province (KBPKT) on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. Anastasia Nurin led the team to consult concerning the draft of the Regent Regulation of Mahakam Ulu Regency on Official Letter Writing Guidelines.
Halimi Hadibrata spoked his appreciation for the Government Secretariat of Mahakam Ulu Regency’s initiative to consult regarding the draft of regent regulation on official letter writing guidelines in Mahakam Ulu Regency. He added that the Government Secretariate of East Kalimantan Province as well involved the KBPKT in the preparation of Official Letter Writing Guidelines of East Kalimantan Province and has been ratified by the Governor Regulation of East Kalimantan Number 1 of 2024 concerning the Official Letter Writing Guidelines for the Regional Government.
Ali Kusno informed there are still discrepancies with good and correct Indonesian rules in the institutions official letters in East Kalimantan. First, the official letter-writing guideline is not under the standardized rules. Second, the Indonesian language competence of the staff who drafted the official letter needs to be improved. Therefore, the efforts of the Regional Secretariat of Mahakam Ulu Regency are a positive step in improving the use of the Indonesian language in the official letter of the Mahakam Ulu Regency Government.
Previously, the Regional Secretary team sent the draft of regent regulation, and the KBPKT team observed and provided corrections on the use of the Indonesian language in that draft. Furthermore, the perception of both parties regarding the corrections and inputs provided was equalized.
At the end of the meeting, Anastasia Nurin expressed her gratitude for the input on the draft of Regent Regulation concerning Official Letter-writing Guidelines for Mahakam Ulu Regency. “We will consult again before this regent’s regulation is passed. In addition, we will also ask for help in the dissemination stage after this regulation is finished,” said Anastasia Nurin. (ak)
