Samarinda, 7th August 2019 — On 1st August 2019, the East Kalimantan Language Office held a storytelling competition for active teachers of early-childhood education (PAUD) in East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan. The event competed the fairy tale that was close to the children lives and loaded the educational value by the theme of local wisdom in East Kalimantan or North Kalimantan. The event performed at the Grand Kartika Hotel, Samarinda.
Thirty four participants attended in the event. They were divided into two groups, namely group A and group B. Three participants who won in group A and group B would be re-competed to determine the first till sixth winner positions and battled for a total prize of Rp15,750,000,00.
The participants who entered the final round were Suheni from the Kindergarten of Fastabiqul Khoirot Samarinda, Wiwin Sugiarti from the Kindergarten of Ar-Rajwa Samarinda Seberang, Jeni Sulfiyanti from the Kindergarten of Nurul Huda, Musriani from the State Kindergarten 01 of Tenggarong, Setiawati from the Islamic Kindergarten of Salsabila, Sapiah Y.Y. from the State Kindergarten 02 of Tenggarong. Finally, the jury assessed and decided the winner of the Storytelling Competition for Early-childhood Education Teachers of East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan was Wiwin Sugiarti by the Kalimantan Forest Humming tale’s title.
