Tanjung Redeb, August 23, 2024 — The Regional Office for Language in East Kalimantan Province held an Instrument Trial event of the UKBI Adaptif Merdeka at the Palmy Exclusive Hotel, Berau Regency on Wednesday and Thursday, August 21 and 22, 2024. A total of 60 participants participated in this event. They were lecturers, teachers, junior/senior high school students, college students, translators, employees, civil servants, journalists, and writers.
Nur Bety from KKLP UKBI of the Regional Office of East Kalimantan Province officially opened the event. Bety explained that the trial involved various professions to come inputs or suggestions on the validated text and questions internally from language experts and testing experts. Besides, the purpose is to test the UKBI questions empirically before accepted and are ready to use in the UKBI Adaptif Merdeka test.
Four packages have been tested. Each package consisted of listening section, rules response section, reading section, and writing section. The Instrument Trial of the UKBI Adaptif Merdeka was carried out simultaneously in 31 provinces from August 19-30, 2024 with 1,116 participants. (nb)
