Samarinda, March 29, 2022 — After Interactive Dialogue Hello East Kalimantan on the live broadcast of RRI Samarinda on March 17, 2022, Regional Office for Language in East Kalimantan Province (KBPKT) received two Expert Staff of Dr. Ir. Commission X warmly welcomes to that Agency for Language Development and Cultivation of Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) program. Indeed, IKN infrastructure development planning should be in line with the human resources development, including culture and language. During their brief visit on March 25, both parties discussed some possible collaborations that need a synergy by involving relevant stakeholders.
Citing from Head of Agency for Language Development and Cultivation Prof. E. Aminudin Aziz, MA, Ph.D. statement in Silaturahmi Merdekan Belajar event, Head of Regional Office for Language in East Kalimantan Province Drs. Anang Santosa, M.Hum stated the revitalization of local languages ??program is not an exclusive, but a joint program that must be implemented with synergy, creative, and fun. So, synergize all existing potential resources, including role strengthening of the (social) media and young generation, is the focal point.
Beside the local languages topic, the brief meeting also discussed the state language priority program which is conducted by Agency for Language Development and Cultivation in terms of Indonesian language must color the IKN’s personality as a marker of Indonesianness. Indonesian language must stand at IKN, local language always lives in the speaker’s heart.
